Made in Germany. Made for You. So that you can rely on our products without restriction, we develop, produce and test them in Berlin far beyond industry standards. In this way, we guarantee that the safest and most reliable solutions are used in your practice or clinic.
To achieve this, we only use components of the highest quality that we have audited in an uncompromising manufacturing process. After assembly, each device is subjected to a three-day endurance and stress test including factory testing in Berlin. Deviations or irregularities are documented by our innovative IT system immediately and the devices are subjected to a further full test.
Of course these detailed tests with various different loads take a lot of time and energy, but the high level of satisfaction among customers is our most significant motivation and the basis for our innovative leadership around the world.
The pioneering spirit of our success: With passion, innovative strength and attention to detail, more than 160 excellently educated engineers ensure that complicated things become uncomplicated.
MELAG products should inspire, be fun and, last but not least, advance your infection control. We therefore invested around 30 % of our turnover in the research and development of new, innovative device concepts.
With these pioneering technologies, we have been revolutionizing the instrument reprocessing workflow in over 700,000 practices and clinics worldwide for many decades.
Traditional values, forward-looking solutions: As a family business, we understand that trust and continuity are the cornerstones of successful partnerships. It is precisely these values that characterise our daily activities and are reflected in our reliable solutions for instrument reprocessing. The Gebauer family has been running the company since it was founded in 1951, and is now in its third generation - with the brothers Sebastian Gebauer and Dr Niklas Gebauer now in charge .
Our many years of experience and family ties enable us to respond flexibly to the individual needs of medical and dental practices - just as is the case in many of your family businesses. With us, you won't find anonymous investors in the background, but a dedicated team that is passionate about quality.
Thanks to the continuity of our family business across generations, you as a customer benefit from stable partnerships and a deep understanding of the requirements of your practice. We know that you also deliver top performance every day, which is why we do everything we can to support you with innovative products and first-class service.
As a family-run company, we take responsibility for future generations. With our sustainability strategy Mission Possible, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to make your instrument decontamination process even more environmentally conscious.
For the future of our blue planet, the three P's - products, processes and production - are at the heart of everything we do:
Products - Sustainability through innovation: Thanks to forward-looking technologies, durable quality and environmentally friendly packaging materials, we offer the cleanest solution - for your budget and the environment!
Processes - Save paper, protect the environment: With paperless user documentation
and digital signatures, we save 7 tonnes of paper, 105 kg of toner ink and 50 kg of plastic waste from toner cartridges per year.
Production - Sustainability right from the start: We already rely on resource-saving approaches in research, development and production. In addition to the use of water recooling systems, electric forklifts and LED lighting, we will raise the bar for sustainable production even higher in the future with solar modules on our roofs. We already obtain 100% of our green electricity from renewable sources.
Our commitment in these areas was recognised for the first time in 2022 by the German Institute for Sustainability & Economics with the seal of approval for assured sustainability in accordance with procedural regulation D-22/400879 and following ISO 26000.
For your safety: Everything from one source! Our washer-disinfectors, sealing devices, autoclaves and software solutions turn your dreams of optimized workflows into reality. The perfect interplay of MELAG System Solutions allow you to achieve greater time and
cost-savings in instrument reprocessing.

The requirements for reprocessing dental instruments are defined by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Transfer instruments for "semi-critical" use must be reprocessed after each patient, preferably in a validated, machine disinfection and cleaning process. If an automated reprocessing procedure is not used, manual reprocessing may be chosen, but it must be followed by sterilization of the instruments.
"Critical" transmission instruments in use for periodontal, endodontic and surgical treatments must of course also be finally sterilized after the machine reprocessing prescribed for these cases.

This fast autoclave helps you save time and money in the RKI-compliant reprocessing of transmission instruments. Because in only approx. 7 minutes, contra-angle handpieces, prophylaxis instruments and much more can be sterilized quickly and safely between patient treatments.
Using the MELAquick 12+ is the ideal alternative to sterilizing transfer instruments in a common practice autoclave with its inevitably longer operating times. MELAquick 12+ can accommodate up to 12 transmission instruments. The fast operating times enable complete practice hygiene even without the purchase of additional transmission instruments.
